Synopsis: The Design Tokens Community Group has been working towards a formal standardization about how tools expect tokens to be delivered. How might we enhance the format to transform tokens from static values to support dynamic needs? This talk introduces the idea of “token operations,” a recommendation for the DTCG specification to meet the needs of the most complex systems.

Bio: Author of gridless.design; a thesis on mismatching the design grid to the web medium. Donnie is also a member of the NYC chapter IxDA. He is an instructor for User Research and Interaction Design at Parsons School of Design. Currently, he works as the engineering lead for the UXCore library at GoDaddy. Previously, he was the first UX Engineer at Compass.
